8.1 Cooling-Off Period (ECTA)
In terms of Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, consumers purchasing goods online have the right to cancel an order within 7 days after delivery, without providing a reason.
Conditions:
The product must be returned unused and in original packaging
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer
Refunds will exclude delivery costs
Refunds will be processed within 30 days after the returned goods have been received and inspected.
8.2 CPA Implied Warranty (6-Month Protection)
In accordance with Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act, all goods sold carry an automatic 6-month implied warranty.
If a product fails to meet acceptable quality standards within 6 months of purchase, the customer may request:
Repair
Replacement
Refund
provided the defect is not due to:
misuse
abuse
negligence
improper installation
unauthorised modification
normal wear and tear
Layer One Systems (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to inspect the product before approving a refund, repair, or replacement.
8.3 Manufacturer Warranties
Many products carry additional manufacturer warranties which may extend beyond the CPA 6-month period.
These warranties:
are provided by the manufacturer
may require products to be assessed by authorised service centres
may have additional terms and conditions
Customers may be required to return products to the manufacturer or authorised distributor for warranty processing.
8.4 Non-Returnable Items
Returns or refunds will not be accepted for:
Activated software licences
Downloadable software
Products damaged through misuse or negligence
Products altered or modified by the customer
8.5 Inspection Process
Returned products may be subject to diagnostic testing to verify the reported fault.
If no fault is found, the product may be returned to the customer and reasonable handling or diagnostic fees may apply.
9. Idea Submissions
Do not submit ideas, inventions, or confidential material unless we have entered into a written agreement regarding such information.
Any unsolicited submissions grant Layer One Systems (Pty) Ltd a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use such content.
10. Termination of Website Use
Layer One Systems (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to:

terminate
access to the website at any time without notice if these Terms are violated.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability
